Hobbs Named NJCAA Player of the Week

ARNOLD, MD – Anne Arundel Community College women's lacrosse player Madison Hobbs has been named the NJCAA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games ending April 10, 2022. Hobbs scored seven goals to go with seven assists in a 2-0 week for the newly top-ranked Riverhawks.
At home against then-No. 1 Harford on Tuesday, Hobbs had three goals, four assists, six draw controls, and three caused turnovers. She scored on both of her free position shots in the game.
On Sunday at home against No. 4 Monroe, Hobbs scored four goals, added three assists, eight draw controls, and a caused turnover. She was also 2-for-2 in free position shots in the game.
On the season, Hobbs leads AACC with 32 points on 16 goals and a nation's-best 16 assists. She has corralled 32 draw controls in six games for the Riverhawks.
This marks the third time an AACC player has won the NJCAA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week award in 2022: Elsa Skinner won the award for the first week of games, and Eva McCormick took home the award for games ending March 27.
AACC travels to No. 2 Harford for a 1-2 rematch on Thursday, April 14.
