Second Half Sends Hagerstown Past Men's Basketball

HAGERSTOWN, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team was defeated by host Hagerstown, 86-77, Monday evening. The Riverhawks were led by 20 points from sophomore Joseph Chase.

Chase went 6-for-10 from the floor, 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and hit all five free throws in the game. Aaron McGriff totaled 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting with four rebounds, while Jamar Young and Davon Jones each added 11 points.

Hagerstown led by as many as eight points in the first half before AACC chipped away at it to take a 33-31 lead with 4:52 remaining. But Hagerstown came back, and did not relinquish the lead the rest of the way.

Led by McGriff, the AACC bench scored 26 points to Hagerstown's 16. The Riverhawks turned 14 Hagerstown turnovers into 24 points, but were outscored in the paint by 20 points.

AACC is off until December 4th, when they travel to Chesapeake for a 7 pm game.
