Men's Golf Edges Out Hagerstown in Home Match
Riverhawks travel to Carroll CC Monday
EDGEWATER, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's golf team won its second-straight Region 20 divisional match Thursday, winning by one stroke over Hagerstown at the Golf Course at South River, the Riverhawks' home course.
AACC combined for a score of 322 (+38), and Hagerstown finished with a combined 232 (+39). The College of Southern Maryland was in third with a 360 (+76). Carroll Community College played three individuals and did not earn a team score.
Will Maddox finished with a 74 (+3) to finish second overall, with a birdie on the ninth hole and making par on every hole of the back nine. Eddie Sarrach finished fourth overall, four strokes behind Maddox(+7), and Tommy Eisel birdied the seventh and 13th holes, finishing with an 83 (+12) in sixth on the individual leaderboard Declan McClure rounded out the scoring for AACC with an 87 (+16) with a birdie on the ninth. Alexei Voice birdied the seventh and finished the day 18 over.
Hagerstown's Peyton Cramer had four birdies and an eagle on the fifth to finish three under (68) and take the top individual spot. As a team, Hagerstown combined for eight birdies.
AACC is back in action on Monday in an NJCAA Region 20 divisional match at Oakmont Green Golf Course, hosted by Carroll Community College.
