Bio
Dave O'Donnell was named the head coach of the Anne Arundel Community College golf team in the fall of 2021.

O'Donnell grew up around the game of golf. He started playing at age seven at DuBois Country Club in Western Pennsylvania, later working at the same club while being a four-year letterwinner of DuBois Area High School's varsity golf and tennis teams. He continued his golf career at Millersville University, earning a degree in government and political affairs, emphasizing international relations. Additionally, he holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

In 2022, he led the Riverhawks to runner-up finishes in the MDJUCO championship and Region 20 tournaments. In 2023, the Riverhawks won the MDJUCO championship and again finished runner-up in the Region 20 tournament. In 2024, the Riverhawks again were crowned conference champions and captured the elusive Region 20 title. Since 2022, the Riverhawks have had ten players earn all-conference honors, eight on the all-region team, and one named to the All-District team. During his tenure, he has had eight players earn a spot on the NJCAA All-Academic team and, in 2023, was recognized as an All-Academic team.

Coaching is in O'Donnell's blood; his late father, Kevin, coached the PSU DuBois golf team after successful stints as head golf and wrestling coach at DuBois Area High School. Before joining the Riverhawks, O'Donnell was the assistant girls' tennis coach at Hempfield High School in Landisville, Pennsylvania.

O'Donnell is a Rolling Road Golf Club member in Catonsville, Md., and serves on the Advisory Board of Puppies & Golf. Additionally, he holds memberships at Hershey Country Club – where he competes for the club's team in the Golf Association of Philadelphia Matches each spring – and Sunnehanna Country Club, the home of the prestigious Sunnehanna Amateur.

O'Donnell is the Director of Development for the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (ASCO). He and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Baltimore with their son, Kevin, and dog, Rooney.
