Sam Barrett Named All-American
Sophomore Midfielder Named to Second Team
ARNOLD, Md. – Anne Arundel Community College sophomore Sam Barrett has been named to the 2024 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse All-America Second Team, it was announced Tuesday. Barrett, a midfielder for the Riverhawks, adds the honor to NJCAA All-Region First Team accolades.
Barrett led the Riverhawks and ranked seventh in the region with 48 points on 35 goals and 13 assists. He started all 11 games for AACC, with 10 multi-point games. Barrett twice recorded nine-point games, first in the season opener with seven goals and two assists, which he followed the next week with six goals and three assists.
Barrett finished his career with 81 points on 59 goals and 22 assists. He is the 118th all-time All-American from AACC and the second All-American under second year head coach Jeremy Ross. Brandon Grusholt was named to the First Team in 2023.
