Freshman scored seven goals and assisted another at Delware Tech
ARNOLD, Md. – Anne Arundel Community College freshman attacker Alex Patton has been named the NJCAA Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played in the final week of February.
The Glen Burnie native scored seven goals – three of which were man-up strikes - and assisted another in the Riverhawks' dramatic season-opening win at Delaware Tech on February 25. Coming out of a timeout with 11.3 seconds left in the game, tied at 12-12, Patton curled up top and fired to give AACC the win with 2.2 ticks left on the clock.
Through three games on the season, Patton currently leads the NJCAA with 15 goals, four man-up goals, and 38 shots.
AACC is back in action in a non-region game at No. 5 Howard Community College on Wednesday, March 11.
