Patrick March was named head coach of AACC's men’s lacrosse team in June of 2026. March, who brings more than three decades of coaching experience in Anne Arundel County and across the Maryland lacrosse community, joined the Riverhawks after 10 seasons as the head boys’ lacrosse coach at Old Mill High School.

Over the course of his career, March has coached at every level of the game, from youth programs to post-collegiate club teams, while mentoring countless athletes throughout the region. He recently served as director of college recruiting with Maryland Lacrosse League Select, and has held coaching positions with several club teams including Rockfish, North Arundel, and Baltimore Elite. March was previously an assistant coach at North County High School for two seasons prior to joining the staff at Old Mill, initially as the Patriots’ defensive coordinator before being named head coach two seasons later.

“Patrick’s deep roots in the local lacrosse community, his proven leadership, and his commitment to student-athlete development make him an outstanding choice to lead our program,” said Athletic Director Duane Herr ’07.

March has achieved significant success on the field. His teams have captured multiple county championships and have earned national recognition, including runner-up finishes in the Warrior Youth National Championships.

In addition to his coaching accomplishments, March has been recognized for his leadership and contributions to the sport. He is a recipient of Annapolis Youth Lacrosse Association’s Willie Gateau Award, received the 2014 Bildy Award from the Bilderback Lacrosse Foundation, and was the US Lacrosse’s Anne Arundel County Man of the Year Award winner in 2016. March has also served the broader lacrosse community as a longtime member of the Anne Arundel County Youth Lacrosse Association Board of Directors, including roles as president and vice president.

Beyond lacrosse, March has an extensive background in coaching football, wrestling, and other sports, as well as over 25 years of professional experience with the Anne Arundel County Department of Detention Facilities.

A lifelong resident of Glen Burnie, March holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Baltimore and maintains numerous coaching certifications, including NFHS Certified Interscholastic Coach credentials and national coaching education certifications.
