Turner Named Region 20 Player of the Month
Freshman forward averaged 15 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in December
ARNOLD, MD – Anne Arundel Community College freshman forward Jada Turner has been named the Region 20 Division III Women's Basketball Player of the Month for games in December 2021. Turner averaged 15 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game in the month while playing nearly every minute of the Riverhawks' four games.
Turner posted back-to-back 20+ point games, scoring 22 against Butler County Community College on December 11 and a career-high 24 points versus CCBC Catonsville on December 15. She shot 47.1% (8-17) against BC3 and 42.9 % (9-21) against Catonsville. Turner recorded five steals at Division I Harford Community College on December 8.
Overall this season, Turner ranks eighth in NJCAA Region 20 Division III in points per game (13) and seventh in minutes per game (38.4).
The Riverhawks are back in action on Friday, January 21, in a 5 pm game at Division II Howard Community College.
