ARNOLD, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College fell to visiting Howard Community College, 91-58, in NJCAA Region 20 divisional action at Jenkins Gym Wednesday night. Freshman Ayannah Gorham led AACC with 27 points and 13 rebounds for her third-straight double-double.
Sophomore Bianca Garin added 23 points and five boards in her third-straight 20+ point game. Nine of her points came at the free throw line.
The Dragons (5-1, 2-0) never trailed in the game and saw four players score in double-digits in Howard's largest offensive output of the season.
The Riverhawks (0-5, 0-2) went into halftime trailing, 42-27, and came out firing in the third quarter starting on a 7-0 run to get within eight points, 42-34. Howard answered and extended its lead to 25 points by the end of the quarter
AACC is idle until Wednesday, December 6, when the Riverhawks host Frederick in a 5 p.m Region 20 divisional game at Jenkins Gym.
