YORK, Pa. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team dropped a midweek game at Penn State York Thursday, falling to the Nittany Lions, 87-37.
Aichatta Soumaoro recorded her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds, also adding a team-high four assists. Ayannah Gorham chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Lania Nick scored 10 points, and Holly Wall pulled down nine boards to go with a pair of blocks.
The Nittany Lions used lengthy scoring runs to establish the lead early, and capitalized on a 13-0 run spanning most of the third quarter to extend the lead.
The Riverhawks' bench outscored the Nittany Lions, 13-11. Penn State York generated 27 points off of AACC turnovers.
AACC is back in action on Wednesday, January 29, in a 5 p.m. game at Frederick Community College.
