COLUMBIA, Md. – The Howard Community College women's basketball team downed Anne Arundel Community College, 70-31, Monday evening. Lania Nick scored 12 points to lead the Riverhawks.
Ayannah Gorham pulled down 14 defensive rebounds in the game as the Riverhawks matched the Dragons' effort off the glass with 53 boards. Holly Wall added 11 to go with six points.
Howard led the game from wire to wire. The Riverhawks gave up 39 points off of turnovers in the game and saw Howard's bench outscore their own by a 41-2 margin.
AACC is idle until Thursday, February 20, when the Riverhawks travel to Delaware Tech for a 6 p.m. game.
