Syrena Boone

Bio

Syrena Boone joined the Anne Arundel Community College Women's Basketball coaching staff in 2025, bringing a strong connection to the program and a passion for player development. A former standout for the Riverhawks, Boone brings first-hand experience, leadership, and a deep understanding of the team's cultures and values. 

During her time at AACC, Boone served as a two-year team captain, setting the tone both on and off the court. As a freshman, she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Region 20 Championship, recognizing her impact and performance in high-stakes competition. In her sophomore year, she earned the AACC Dean Williams Evans Award, underscoring her commitment to academic and athletic excellence. 

Before stepping into the collegiate coaching ranks, Boone coached AAU programs and worked with young athletes at basketball camps, where she developed a reputation for being a positive, energetic, and knowledgeable mentor. Her ability to connect with players, paired with her firsthand experience as a successful student-athlete at AACC, makes her a valuable asset to the program. 

As she begins her coaching journey at the collegiate level, Boone is committed to helping student-athletes grow on the court, in the classroom, and as leaders in their community.
