KEYSER, W.Va. -- The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team faced a tough road test Saturday afternoon, falling 92-43 to Potomac State College in Region 20 divisional action.
Freshman Kellie Harring led the Riverhawks with a career-high 15 points, shooting 6-for-18 from the field while adding five assists in 40 minutes on the floor. Kiara Vaselaros added 11 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers, and Julia Fox chipped in 11 points, six rebounds, and four blocks off the bench.
Anne Arundel kept pace early in the second quarter, trimming the deficit to single digits before Potomac State used a strong inside presence to pull away. The Catamounts held a 50-23 rebounding advantage and scored 52 points in the paint.
Despite the setback, the Riverhawks forced 15 turnovers and totaled 13 assists on 16 made field goals. Anne Arundel returns home Wednesday for a 5 p.m. Region 20 divisional game against Frederick.
