Palmer Places First at Blazer Invitational
Sophomore Madison Palmer finished more than a minute and a half ahead of next runner
KNOXVILLE, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2021 season at the Blazer Twilight Invitational Friday. Sophomore Madison Palmer placed first overall on the women's side, and Grayson McMeen finished fourth on the men's side to lead the Riverhawks.
Palmer finished in 21:44.6, more than a minute and a half ahead of the second-place finisher. Jasmine Jones placed fourth with a time of 23:27.6, and Holly Boggs came in eighth at 25:08.1
Sierra Keen finished 13th in 27:29.5, while Hannah Titus (15th) and Rebecca White (16th) wrapped up the AACC squad's finishers.
After a slow start on the men's side, all three runners finished in the top seven of the field. McMeen finished in 19:40.4 followed by Luke Jimenez in fifth at 20:01.8. Luke Stout came in seventh at 20:56.9.
AACC is back in action on Friday, September 10 at the Green Terror Challenge hosted by McDaniel College.
