Women's Cross Country Runs at Cantello Invite
Riverhawks head back to Salisbury next weekend for 6k race
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's cross country team competed at the Cantello Invitational Saturday at the Naval Academy Golf Course. The Riverhawks, who were the only two-year school in the field, ran the open 5k race and finished third as a team behind Georgetown (NCAA DI) and Stevenson (NCAA DIII).
Maisie Wukitch led the Riverhawks on the incredibly challenging course with a time of 26:10.2. Rina Morrissey was right behind with a time of 26:19.3.
Fiona Panzer clocked in with a time of 27:40.6, while Natalie Long ran ther first collegiate race in 29:33.9. Grace Pillow (33:29.1) and Maya Christensen (33:52.4) rounded out the Riverhawks' finish.
AACC is back in action on Saturday, September 27, as they return to Salisbury for their second meet of the season at Winter Park Place. The Riverhawks will run in the 37th Annual Don Cathcart Invitational, a 6k race, at 2 p.m.
