Cross Country Runs at Don Cathcart Invitational
Riverhawks finish first among two-year schools
SALISBURY, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's cross country team ran in the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University Saturday. The Riverhawks were the top finishers among two-year schools in the hot and humid 6k meet at Winter Place Park.
The Riverhawks top four placed from 40th to 43rd in the 88-runner field. Rina Morrissey paced AACC with a time of 29:48.90, followed closely by Maisie Wukitch, who ran the race in 29:49.10. Fiona Panzer followed with a time of 29:49.70, and Natalie Long came in at 31:03.70.
Maggie Cochran rallied for a time of 34:28.60 and was closely followed by Grace Pillow at 34:58.10. Maya Christensen (39:36.10) and Lakota Clavin (39:40.70) rounded out the field for AACC.
AACC finished in eighth place overall, 38 points ahead of Region 20 foe Howard Community College. Navy took first place overall with 24 points.
The Riverhawks are next in action on Saturday, October 18th at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College. Race time is 11 a.m.
