Women's Cross Country Races at Aubrey Shenk Invitational
Riverhawks travel to Region 20 Championship Saturday
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's cross country team ran at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College Saturday morning. Rina Morrissey led the Riverhawks in the 6k race that featured a field of 300 runners across all divisions of the NCAA and NJCAA.
Morrissey, Natalie Long, Maisie Wukitch, and Maya Christensen all clocked their fastest 6k times of the season in the race, which is the final tune up before the Region 20 Championships next weekend. Morrissey finished with a time of 28:53.00. Long (29:21.00) and Wukitch (29:21.20) finished one right after the other, and Christensen clocked a 34:34.2.
Fiona Panzer finished with a time of 29:45.10 and Maggie Cochran earned a time of 35:34.0.
Next up for AACC is the Region 20 Championships at Westmoreland County Community College on Saturday, October 25. The women's race is scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
