Women's Cross Country Second at Region 20 Championships
All six runners clocked their fastest 5k race of the season
YOUNGWOOD, Pa. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's cross country team finished second at the 2025 NJCAA Region 20 DII Championships Saturday afternoon at Westmoreland Community College. The Riverhawks were led by an 11th-place finish from Natalie Long.
All six Riverhawks runners ran their fastest 5k races of the season, with Long, Fiona Panzer, Maisie Wukitch, and Maya Christensen clocking their fastest mile splits of the year.
Long finished the 5k race in 24:07.60, and was closely followed by Rina Morrissey, who finished 12th overall with a time of 24:19.90. Panzer placed 14th overall with a time of 24:22.00.
Wukitch ran the course in 24:25.90 to place 17th. Christensen finished 24th with a time of 28:07.30. Maggie Cochran was two spots behind in 26th with a time of 29:43.20.
Potomac State College claimed the Region 20 title with 18 points and four runners finishing in the top 10; AACC was named runner up with 37 points.
