LARGO, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team dropped a Region 20 divisional game to Prince George's Community College, 95-64, Wednesday evening at Novak Fieldhouse. The Riverhawks had three players in double figures, led by a 21-point effort from sophomore Ryan Stacy.
Stacy scored 21 points to go with seven rebounds and a team-high five steals. Freshman guard Jaylen Marbley added 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting including a 2-for-4 effort from three-point range. Al-Ameen Sanni recorded his sixth consecutive double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Riverhawks trailed by nine at halftime, 41-32, but gave were outscored by 22 in the second half as the Owls (15-4) sank five three pointers and went 11-for-12 at the free throw line in the final frame.
AACC (2-9) is idle until Friday, January 23 when they travel to CCBC Catonsville for a 7 p.m. Region 20 divisional game.
