ARNOLD, MD - The Anne Arundel Community College Men's Soccer team fell to 3rd-ranked CCBC Essex, 5-1, on Thursday afternoon at Siegert Field. Goalkeeper Zane Saab tallied a season-high 12 saves for the Riverhawks.
Essex opened the scoring 31 minutes into the contest and added a second just over 10 minutes later, carrying a two goal lead into the half. After the kKights scored their third goal early in the second half, the Riverhawks got on the board at the 67 minute mark to tighten the score to 3-1 before Essex extended their lead.
Mo Sary scored the lone goal for the Riverhawks on a penalty kick. He accounted for two of Anne Arundel's four shots on goal in the game.
AACC returns to play Tuesday, October 12, at 6 pm in a home game against Harford.
