WESTMORELAND, PA – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team rallied from a slow start to hand host Westmoreland Community College an 88-64 loss Friday evening. The Riverhawks were led by 24-point efforts from both Autumn Foster-Fields and Sarah Healy.
Healy added 15 rebounds for her sixth-straight double-double dating back to last season. Lacey Hinkle added 15 points, four steals and four rebounds, while Sydney Woodland scored in double digits with 13 points.
The Riverhawks (3-1) trailed by five at the end of the first quarter, but outscored their hosts, 24-13, in the second to carry a 41-35 lead into the break. Westmoreland stormed back in the third to cut AACC's lead to two, but a 28-7 Riverhawk fourth put the game out of reach.
The win marked the third in a row for AACC, all of which have come by double-digit margins.
AACC will face the Wolfpack again Saturday at 1 pm.
