JOHNSTOWN, PA – The Anne Arundel Community College volleyball team rallied to defeat host Penn Highlands, 3-1, on Thursday evening. The Riverhawks were led by a career-high 11 kills from Taliyah Johnson.
AACC dropped the first set, 25-19, before surging past the Lady Black Bears in the final three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-13.
Karen Bautista Carmona added nine kills, while Alle Forbes added eight. Sylvia Frye recorded six aces to go with five from Savannah Fisher. Setter Leah Hernandez posted 26 assists to go with 33 digs – both career highs.
AACC (10-6) travels to Howard Community College on Saturday for a tri-match with the Dragons and CCAC.
